The IKEA Brand Expression is a culmination of brand guidelines/toolkit, strategy, and proposed applications. In this project, my class had to create a new brand strategy for an already existing brand. My brand idea was to bring sustainability to the forefront of IKEA’s branding.
Final deliverables include slide deck brand guidelines that detailed new visual languages and verbal elements, logo design, package redesign, cover design, and promotional branding in the form of motion design.

New IKEA icon design based off of the IKEA man which can be found in IKEA’s manuals.
This new IKEA packaging design has changed the IKEA logo to a home which pairs well with the IKEA man on the side stating “Caring about your comfort now and forever”.
This is a design for the IKEA catalog, a staple of the brand, that shows the brands new visual identity while also including information on its new sustainability plan. In theory, future IKEA catalogs would include these visuals as well as plan updates.
This IKEA ad shows the use of the brands new logos, icons, and visual identity. It promotes the new brand strategy and engages the viewer.
